Tokyo 2.0 #28 - The Web and Social Enterprise　―　ウェブと社会企業

This September we explore how social enterprises, NPOs, and corporate social responsibility missions are increasingly harnessing the power of web technologies to champion their causes.

社会企業、ＮＰＯ、ＣＳＲなどは社会に対するポジティブな変革の為に最近もっともっとウェブやその関連技術を利用しているである。 Tokyo 2.0 の９月のイベントでは社会企業の団体の人達が面白いウェブや技術の使い方をプレゼンします。

Main Presentations

1. Tokyo Art Beat: Art for Everyone / アートを全ての人達へ
Presenter: Chris Palmieri and Paul Baron

Chris and Paul share lessons learnt from 5 years of using technology and elbow grease to spread Tokyo's art and culture, and showcase their API and applications.

Tokyo Art Beat は当プレゼンテーションでは運営のコスト管理、プロモーションなどの話します。そして APIやアップリの話します。


2. Pangaea: Connecting children / 世界中の子ども達がICTによって言葉の壁を越えてつながりあう
Presenter: Toshiyuki Takasaki / 高崎俊之 (Pangaea Co-founder & CTO / パンゲア共同創設者・副理事長・最高技術責任者)

Through the experimental use of pictograms and 'The Language Grid', Pangaea has created a "universal playground" which breaks down the language barrier and allows children around the world to play together.

パンゲアは、実験的な絵文字や「言語グリッド」という技術を利用して世界のこども達が言葉、距離、文化の違いの壁を乗り越えて、個人的なつながりを感じることの出来る遊び場「ユニバーサル・プレイグラウンド」を構築している。


3. Run for the Cure: NPOs and the WEB / NPO と WEB
Presenter: Taro Irei / 伊禮　太郎（Director of Development / ディレクター）

Irei-san discusses how the collective power of Tokyo 2.0 can help NPOs achieve their goals, and ways pro bono web developers can work together effectively.

伊禮さんはウェブや技術についてＮＰＯのニーズ、そしてボランティアのウェブ開発者とＮＰＯお互いの協力での効果的なプロジェクトの行い方を語ります。


4. Greenz.jp: Activism 2.0 / アクティビズム2.0
Presenter: Yoshihiro Kanematsu / 兼松佳宏

Twitter, YouTube and blogs; the 2.0 generation of activists have lots of tools at their fingertips. Kanematsu-san from Greenz.jp highlights the creative ways these tools are being used to help change the world.

1. MotherApp: Use your web knowledge to create native iPhone apps / ネイティブのiPhoneアプリを作成するようにWebの知識を使用
Presenter: Ken Law

Ken Law will showcase how MotherApp enables web developers, without any mobile expertise, to create native apps on iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile.

2. Earthday Money & Service Grant: A New Style of NPO Intermediary / NPOの中間支援の新スタイル
Presenter: Ikuma Saga / 嵯峨生馬

Introduce the unique approaches of Earthday Money and Service Grant to connect people and various nonprofits.

さまざまな市民とNPOとをつなぐユニークなアプローチである「アースデイマネー」と「サービスグラント」の取り組みについてご紹介します。


3. 4good: Good action platform / イイコトつなげるインターネット『フォーグッド』
Presenter: Hirokazu Tsukada / 塚田 寛一 (Director, Yosemite / 株式会社ヨセミテ、代表取締役)

Former director of Mixi, Tsukada-san discusses 4good, and how it is specifically geared towards promoting social good.

ミクシィの元取締役、塚田 寛一は新しいSNSの「4good」を紹介し、特に社会的なイイコトに合う機能や設計を語ります。
